Diablo II Reviews - A Review of the Most Popular PC Game

Diablo II is a massively popular action role Playing hack-and Slash computer game released by Blizzard Entertainment and developed for Windows, Linux, and Unix. Diablo II continues the story of the first game, Diablo, an extremely difficult game, in that it combines hack and slash "DM" style action with the real-time "chat" systems used in massively multiplayer online role Playing games (MMORPGs). Diablo II improves upon the first game with new classes, more game modes, better graphics, and much more. The game has received numerous awards including Game of the Year from GameSpot, GameRankings, IGN, PC gaming magazines, among others. In the game one can take on the role of either a "Witch Doctor", a" Samurai"," Druid", or a "Death Knight" (referred to as "the Butcher") and gain experience and levels to eventually become an "ocious". There are nine classed characters to choose from as well as several "heroic" or non-heroic specializations to further enhance your character build. You can play any character you desire in Diablo II; the choices are really up to you and how much you want to immerse yourself into the game. While the game starts off with the same basic starting area (the land of Sanctuary) you will encounter new characters as you progress through the game. For example, at the beginning of the game you will be in the town of New Tristam and have the opportunity to kill some "bands of creeps". These creeps will be later referred to as "bane creatures" and will cause quite a bit of destruction and damage to your character as you journey across the world.
Diablo II is very fun and exciting to play. I especially love the "enchanted" item quests as they are extremely helpful when trying to level up quickly. There are also many helpful monsters to fight as well as helpful "armies" that are essential to your success in the game. Diablo II has tons of replayability as well as many hours of entertainment. I strongly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys turn-based gaming. If you have never played an RTS game before, I would suggest taking a look at Diablo II.
