A Review of Deltarune

Deltarune is an exciting role playing video game being developed by Toby Fox, the creator of the popular Monkey Island series. In Deltarune, the player controls an imaginary character, Kris, in an antebellum southern town populated with many monsters. Kris and his friend named Susie fall into an underground tunnel that leads them to an ominous underground facility known as the Dark World. Inside, they find a number of underground machines that are the main weapons used by the monsters against humans. In order to get out of the Dark World, they must use a wide variety of weapons and solve puzzles in order to gain access to a mysterious tower located at the bottom of the site.
One of the most interesting features of Deltarune, which sets it apart from other role-playing games, is the excellent action-adventure storyline. Unlike many other games that feature linearity, where the storyline basically progress one action scene after another, the player controls each of the characters in Deltarune in much the same way he would if he were playing a role-playing game like Zelda or Final Fantasy. For instance, when you attack an enemy, you will see your character draw his weapon, stand in position and execute the attack. Some of the scenes include combat between rival monsters, and there are even moments where you control various non-player characters and run through the environment as a part of the story. The player also gets to take control of a number of different weapons and tools in order to defeat his enemies.
In the end, Deltarune definitely offers a unique video game experience that will appeal to a wide range of players. It's possible that many people who pick this game up may find themselves playing it for several months before they've had a chance to get a feel for all the different options and skills that are available to the player. The positive reviews seem to back this up. Deltarune was among the first RPGs to include a great storyline, excellent graphics and quality sound effects, and a great action-adventure feel, making it one of the best RPGs ever created by the company that created the game itself.
