A virtual reality Formula One racing game

VR Formula is a virtual reality racing game. It tests the player’s ability to maneuver crazy curves, develop techniques, and find the ‘sweet spot’ between accelerating and braking. There are over four unique courses and three amazing F1 cars. Developed by SAT-BOX, this single-player racing game combines the physics capabilities and VR mechanics of Golf It! with polished cars and the superb graphics of realistic racing games like CSR Racing.
Who can play it?
Available in English, Chinese, and Japanese, this single-player racing video game with simplified F1 rules is available on Steam and supports Windows MR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Valve Index. However, users can also play it without VR devices, enjoying all four courses (Oval, Snake, Technical, and Central).
What’s it like?
The VR Formula racing game comes with three F1 cars and four challenging tracks. Players can race at high speed with relatively accurate maneuvering, with or without VR devices and controls. There are Steam leaderboards for every course to facilitate comparison. The screen displays a speed gauge, lap number and time, pole position, and a miniature circuit.
What’s special about it?
This VR racing game is unique in its conciseness, realistic visuals, lack of cumbersome settings, and speed. More of an arcade game than a simulator, it enables players to briefly try their hand at Formula racing. It offers an environment similar to that of a professional player but with simplified tracks and controls.
A no-frills arcade racer
The VR Formula game is different. Despite the lack of steering wheel support, a clunky motion control system, and an unruly seating position sometimes, this child-friendly arcade game can be played in under 30 minutes. Without ever needing to slow down, it can be enjoyed by all.
