Utouto Suyasuya is an adventure puzzle game that follows the story of a young girl attempting to navigate her way through a mysterious dream world. The player must help the girl solve puzzles, as well as interact with a variety of characters to help the protagonist find her way back to reality.
While the game lacks a real narrative element, the premise is similar to dating sim games like Coming Out on Top and Flirt. The player must attempt to achieve a romantic/sexual goal with the protagonist. It should be noted that some players may find the gameplay premise offensive.
The ultimate goal of Utouto Suyasuya is to undress the eponymous protagonist while she sleeps. The player can select from a variety of actions, and their choice will determine how successful they are in their efforts. Choosing the wrong actions will result in the protagonist being unhappy, which is considered a bad ending to the game.
The gameplay of Utouto Suyasuya does not only encourage repetitive playthroughs — it requires it. The game is essentially a grind where the player must build up to the desired endings. This results in a game that doesn't have much variation in gameplay mechanics, which may lead to an unsatisfying experience for players who need that variety in their games.
In terms of gameplay, Utouto Suyasuya does not have a great deal to offer beyond a small set of mechanics. The AI-generated artwork is of high quality, however. It should be noted that players who are sensitive to issues of consent and sexual assault may find this game unsettling.
