A roleplaying mystery game

Stray is an upcoming game developed by Blue Twelve and published by Annapurna Interactive that has been brewing since 2015. The recently released trailer left many questions unanswered. However, the game made it clear that you'll be playing as a cat in a cyber city.
A fantastic looking game
In Stray, you play as a small domestic animal, namely, alone, lost, and away from family. This third-person game is set in a neon-lit cybercity, resembling the graphics of Cyberpunk 2077, another title that's yet to be released.
However, Stray isn't an action story. It doesn't seem so, at least in the traditional sense. Your main goal will be to untangle the city's mysteries by exploring your environment.
The game features fantastic graphics, showing you the murky city through a cat's eyes. The world is inhabited by other animals and droids, with no humans in sight.
A new type of roleplay
Not only does the game put you in new, exciting shoes of a non-human hero, but also in a decidedly post-apocalyptic setting. The futuristic city hosts many walls covered in graffiti saying 'RIP humans,' and your only companion is a robot called B12.
While there are no humans, you'll see all kinds of droids performing everyday tasks. However, the city isn't as welcoming as it first may seem, some of the inhabitants presenting a threat to your character.
Release and specifications
The first trailer came out on June 11th, so there's little to say about the gameplay itself. The game will be released in 2021, playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox X Series, and PC.
It's still unclear whether Stray will be backward-compatible with earlier consoles, with the developers deciding to leave most of the details for later.
Promising
Since this title was so recently announced, there's not much to say about Stray at this point. One point is clear, though. With its beautiful design and long-awaited plot, this title is likely to be much more than a mere adventure game.
