Road Rash is a motorcycle racing game where you’re pitted against other racers and the police. The mechanics of the game are to stay on the same horizontal track, swerving only to the left or right to get ahead of their opponents. Along the way, you will make sharp turns, ramps, hills, and other obstacles. The terrain can be used to your advantage by launching yourself ahead towards the finish line, but its important to hit your mark. You can also get physical with your opponents by punching or kicking them. As the winner, you will be given upgrades or a new motorcycle.
Game mechanics
Road Rash gives you control of a motorcycle racer who must do whatever it takes to be the top racer. This includes punching, slapping, and kicking other racers on the track. To advance to each level, you will need to be one of the first four racers to cross the finish line. You will eventually earn clubs and chains to hit other players with. Should you lose stamina or veer off course, you will be ejected from your seat.
You will also begin the race with $1,000 to upgrade your bike with different weights, speeds, and steering capabilities. It will depend on whether you use this money right away, or use it when you’ve earned enough to purchase a new bike. Whether you choose a new or upgraded bike, it’s important to keep it resistant to damage. The game will take note of the hits to your bike via the damage meter. The bike will no longer be able to run when the meter runs low.
This means you will no longer be able to participate in the race, and you will need to pay for the bike’s repairs. Asides from damaging your bike, cops can also stop you from participating in the race. This happens whenever you crash your bike near their station. They will apprehend you so you will need to pay a fine to bail yourself out. Should you fail to pay the repairs or the bail, the game will end and you will need to start from the beginning.
System requirements
You can play Road Rash on any computer running Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. The game also requires a GeForce 6200 LE or a 16 MB Rage 128 Ultra graphics card.
