Honkai: Star Rail is a free space role-playing game with fantasy elements launching on 26 April 2023 for mobile, PC, and console. Much like Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact, you’ll have anime characters that set off on a new adventure into space. There are vast maps you’ll explore, with significant rewards available from the pre-registration.
While the game will start with a central protagonist, you’re expected to unlock party members as you proceed through the story. The plot involves what is called the Cancer of All Worlds. As you investigate the truth of what caused it, you’ll encounter many enemies wanting to stop you.
Investigating the danger
The main plot in Honkai: Star Rail revolves around an event called the Cancer of All Worlds. Something bad has happened in the universe, and you aren’t satisfied sitting still and simply accepting the injustice. So, with your heroic impulse kicking into full gear, you head out into space to discover what has caused the event and hopefully stop it.

During your adventures, you’ll need to explore the various worlds in Honkai: Star Rail. That’s where the game stands out from the likes of Genshin Impact. You aren’t restricted to one planet. The maps have a maze format, which means exploring every nook and cranny like a dungeon.
Turn-based combat
Another difference between Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact, both HoYoverse titles, is that the former has turn-based combat. The latter had real-time fighting with a free-roaming open world. As a result, you’ll need to use strategic attacks and defence in each move, ensuring you survive and defeat the enemy if you want to proceed.
Head into space
Honkai: Star Rail is an exciting space-travelling fantasy role-playing game that will surely take you a few months to complete the base story. If it’s anything like Genshin Impact, there will be new characters to unlock in the future. Also, you’ll get to explore various weapons and powers against enemies.
Those who pre-register will receive loads of rewards depending on how many register before the game launches. From there, you’ll fly through space and travel across worlds, completing missions and fighting enemies.
