With the recent release of Android devices, many people are looking at what E2PDF is all about. E2PDF is a new SMS app for smartphones that is supposed to allow you to take text and phone book notes directly to your PC. This is in the vein of PDF to MS Office apps, but there are differences here as well. The problem is that many SMS apps have limited storage space and only allow you to take a couple of small documents at a time. TrueCaller, on the other hand, gives you a much larger storage space, allowing you to export large amounts of text, images, videos, and other files straight to your desktop or laptop without any hassle.
With this huge leap in the mobile world, it seems somewhat ironic that E2PDF is being offered through an application that many people consider to be unsafe for use on mobile devices. It takes some of the fear out of downloading applications, but unfortunately SMS and MMS messaging is still not safe on the cell phone. Text message and MMS messages are being tracked by companies all over the world and sold to companies that can send them out as SMS ads. If something were to go wrong with the message sent from your phone, it would be entirely up to the user to take the matter into his or her own hands and contact one of these companies in order to have the issue taken care of legally.
What does this mean for E2PDF? While True Caller provides a service that many mobile users will find useful and safe for text and call for backup, the truth is that E2PDF is just another app that will cause more headaches for anyone using it. It's probably best to leave the application alone and avoid using it on your sms device, especially if you have any plans of using it on your cellular phone.
