Free mobile horror game

Amanda the Adventurer is a free horror game APK for Android with a short gameplay length, usually under five minutes. It copies the format of the original game for Windows, but with fewer features. You’ll need to watch VHS tapes of an old cartoon television show with Amanda as the main character.
As you watch the videos, you’ll notice something is wrong with Amanda. There aren’t many game mechanics, with most of them being tap and choose a response. For better horror games on Android, have a look at Evil Haunted Ghost Scary Cellar Horror Game, The Sign - Interactive Ghost Horror and Poppy Horror: Scary Playtime.
Amanda as an educator
When you start playing Amanda the Adventurer, it looks like a cartoon educational show that teaches children valuable lessons. The premise is that you find VHS tapes in the attic of your house. Playing each of them has a different episode from the show.
Each tape lets you choose an answer to one of Amanda’s questions. Get it wrong, and you’ll upset the adventurer. If you get it right, you’ll progress to the next episode. Most of the answers are easy, prompting you to answer incorrectly just to see what happens.
Something is wrong with Amanda
As you progress through the episodes, her sidekick the sheep will warn you that something’s wrong. Despite the warnings, you proceed to the next tape, whether you want to or not. There’s a horrific moment where Amanda the Adventurer appears to lose her mind or be possessed by a demon.
The final video
When you reach the final episode of Amanda the Adventurer, she’ll ask if you want to enter via the window or door. While you may want to select the window, the only answer available to you is the door. When you choose it, the character goes psychotic and you can see her real form. The game ends here for the mobile version, while the original for Windows has more detail.
Short rip-off of the original
Amanda the Adventurer for Android is a short rip-off of the original game for Windows. With less than five minutes of gameplay, it has only a few horror moments before it ends.
You’ll still enjoy the taste of horror, but it’s better to play the full version. With better titles available for mobile, you may feel cheated that the game ends so quickly.
