Viber for Mac
Mac OS X comes with iMessage, Apple's messaging system that's also built in to iOS. While iMessage is great, it doesn't allow cross platform messaging. Enter Viber: an application for Windows, Mac and Linux that does exactly that. Viber is free software that provides two key functions. There's text chat, much like SMS messaging, but with the ability to send images too. Then, there's voice calling; Viber boasts high definition audio for superb quality and clarity. There are plenty of messaging apps besides iMessage and Viber; Skype covers the same market and has a massive reach. Tux Paint for Mac
Tux Paint for Mac is a free, award-winning drawing application aimed at children ages 3 to 12. It is used in schools around the world as a computer literacy drawing activity. It has an easy-to-use interface that is combined with fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot called Tux, who appears at the bottom of the screen to give tips, hints and information to guide children as they use the application. To begin, children are presented with a blank canvas and a variety of tools to help them be creative. The drawing tools are made available on the canvas and are easily accessible. The canvas is a fixed size, so there is no need to worry about 'pixels' or 'inches' when making a new picture. The entire program fits on a screen as small as 640x480, and can be displayed full-screen, to mask the computer's underlying 'desktop' interface. (It defaults to 800x600 mode, but can run at larger sizes and in portrait or landscape mode, as well.) To load and save images a simple thumbnail display is used, so no knowledge of the file system structure is required. Even file names are unnecessary. The interface is both entertaining and useful for children to use. It is also configurable. Sound effects, print, and quit options can be disabled. Tux Paint for Mac also has massive multi-language support, with parts of Tux Paint translated into 129 languages Overall, Tux Paint for Mac is a great tool that allows children the ability to explore their creativity. It has a simple interface that young minds can easily grasp and there are numerous different drawing tools available; from brushes and stamps to alternate colour palettes. Text can be input in various different fonts and there is also an effects tool to tinker around with too.

Blackmagic Design team members are rightly proud of their DaVinci Resolve 16 product and its host of new features. They claim it’s the world’s only solution that combines professional 8K editing, visual effects, colour correction and audio post production all in one software tool. So, you can move between editing, effects, colour and audio pretty much with a single click. It’s also reported to be the only solution designed for multiple user collaboration. Exciting new features This latest update is particularly sought after thanks to an array of new features. The new Cut Page has particularly caught the eye, as it is specifically designed for editors that need to work quickly and to tight deadlines. Meanwhile, the new DaVinci Neural Engine uses machine learning to bring in powerful new features like speed warp, facial recognition and more. Fusion is also noticeably faster and Fairlight adds immersive 3D Audio. Let’s not forget adjustment clips can let you apply effects and grades to clips on the timeline. You can then ‘quick export’ to upload projects to YouTube and Vimeo from anywhere in the application. New GPU accelerated scopes can also provide more technical monitoring options than ever before. So, as Blackmagic Design say, DaVinci Resolve 16 is “a massive release” with hundreds of features directly sought after by customers. The complete package It’s difficult to think of a major feature that DaVinci Resolve 16 doesn’t have in its armoury. You can enjoy amazing video transitions and effects which can be customised later. Pure digital audio tools are also readily available, whether you’re after music or you would like to record your own narration. So, if you’re after complete video optimisation – you’ve come to the right place! Video stabilisation will make sure any camera shakiness is reduced. If you want to access or remove these applications, simply navigate to the MyApps button on the application's toolbar. QQ International has good quality English translations, but the application is clearly based towards the Chinese market. The content, links, applications, and features are geared towards that market. QQ International has been designed to allow other, non Chinese speaking, clients access to China's billion Internet users. Overall, QQ International is a capable and sophisticated tool with a clean and fresh user interface. It is a great communication tool for those who have friends and colleagues in China. PhotoPad Image Editor for Mac is a picture editing utility that crams some powerful tools into an easy to use interface on your Mac.
