Hitman: Blood Money is a stealth-action video game developed by IO Interactive and released by Eidos Interactive. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade in May 2021. It is an upgraded version of Hitman: Contracts, and the second installment in the Hitman series. Like its predecessors, it is a point-and-click stealth-adventure game, in which the player takes on the role of a hired assassin in a world where assassination is big business...
In this game, once you have chosen your Agent, there are several Contracts that you have to complete, each of them featuring a new character. Once all of the Contracts have been fulfilled, the game ends and you have the choice of continuing your adventure or switching to another Contracts level. Unlike Hitman: Gotham City Adventures and previous games in the Hitman series, where you play as an original character, in this game you play as an "undead" hitman, who can be heard conversing over the radio. The Xbox Live Arcade version features voiceovers, as well as art and movie cut-scenes, whereas the other versions only feature text.
The story of the video game takes place in a world where corporate interests rule, and where those whom the corporations want dead often find their bodies in mass graves. There are six different classes you can choose from, each providing a different mix of abilities, making each level unique. A new facility called the Vanishing Act is being constructed, where any hitman that is killed in your area will not re-appear. Your clients can also connect with you, using an instant messenger, to discuss jobs for you, and you can use a computer to keep track of what they have done. As in the previous games, you get three chances to succeed at a job, but if you fail you lose the job, and if you succeed you get double the money that you would have got in the previous games.
