Free hitman horror game
Cold Shot is a short, free game developed for Mac by Skydrow that looks like an average FPS (first-person shooter), but soon segues into a creepy horror game. For the success of your mission, you’ll need to summon all your courage and survival instincts to stay alive.
Something’s definitely not right in the house you’re in. You’ll have to choose whether to investigate or do everything you can to get out. If you prefer a more linear, but equally atmospheric first-person game, try Slender: The Eight Pages.
In Cold Shot, you play the role of a contract killer sent on what should be a routine job. However, deciding to enter the house to confirm the kill turns out to be the worst decision you’ve ever made.
What is Cold Shot?
That fateful choice puts you in a nightmare situation, and by the time you realise something’s wrong, it’s too late to simply walk away.

Easy gameplay
Skydrow’s done an excellent job with Cold Shot. The controls are easy to use and the sound effects are suitably atmospheric. The grainy visuals add to the tension because you can’t make out every detail around you, which helps make this a very intense first-person survival horror game.
We like how the developer has used text sparingly. Items such as a prescription and a journal entry are informative, but they don’t make you read loads of text. We think that’s one of the best decisions Skydrow has made.
According to Skydrow, it should take you about half an hour to complete the game; it’s definitely time well spent.
