Around the World in 80 Days is a puzzle game developed by Playrix Entertainment. Based on the classic Jules Verne novel featuring Phileas Fogg, the game challenges you to embark on an Around The World voyage in the late 19th Century as the great Phileas Fogg. With nicely animated and engaging themes, the game offers an easy-to-play experience with good sound effects.
However, there are some drawbacks to consider. The soundtrack can become annoying after a while, and the match 3 concept is not particularly original. Additionally, the early levels are too easy, which may disappoint players looking for a more challenging experience.
Despite these shortcomings, Around the World in 80 Days does offer better graphics compared to similar games like The Rise of Atlantis. It also includes a few bonus levels to keep players interested. While the game falls short of fully capturing the spirit of the Jules Verne classic, it does provide occasional educational facts about the various countries visited after solving each challenge.
Overall, Around the World in 80 Days may not be the trip of a lifetime, but it still manages to scrape together an enjoyable puzzle game experience.
