How to Remove AOL Explorer From Your PC

AOL Explorer 0/1

AOL Explorer, also known as AOL Web Messenger, has been a graphical internet browser developed by AOL for use on the Apple Macintosh computer platform. It was initially released as a freeware, either as an included application with AOL Instant Messenger or as a free download, later replacing the standard version on the Apple Macintosh computers. AOL made several changes to the code and eventually launched the first version of Windows under the name of Windows ME.

Windows ME is not an ideal environment for developing an Internet application, but there are ways around this problem. In fact, because of its "modern" appearance - which is almost identical to the appearance of Windows XP - many users prefer to use the Microsoft browser rather than the AOL browser, even though they are on a different operating system. One way to make Windows ME compatible with AOL Explorer is to install the Windows ME Quickstart Guide, which will tell you how to add the MSN toolbox and other features that you need to make your browser more closely resemble Windows. There are two additional ways to create a more Vista-like environment on your desktop, using Vista-style toolbars and visual themes, as well as using Windows-style buttons and menus. The third method is to use a third-party Windows Vista application instead of the built-in Microsoft toolbars and visual themes.

Windows ME was developed as a more evolutionary program, with Microsoft's new Windows Vista name being discontinued after Windows Vista hit the market. While Windows Vista is still the most popular operating system, Microsoft discontinued it because it didn't have the popularity to justify purchasing a new name. Although Windows ME was designed to be a more "future-proof" web browser, it does not have many of the features that its competitors have. AOL, on the other hand, has been able to use many of its own technologies to build a browser that is very similar to that of Microsoft, although it still lacks the customizable options that many people want with their favorite browsers.
