Truck driving simulation game
Screenshots
You have the chance to drive around the United States as a freelancer truck driver or in company with other drivers. You can transport cargo in solo mode or compete with other players online.
Realistic trucking experience
SCS Software provides a realistic experience in this truck simulator game. You start small, using your vehicle to transport goods for other companies. As you level up, you unlock new abilities and vehicle customisations.
There are day and night cycles, as well as changes in the weather. You can drive through the night or stop at a fuel station to rest. While in-game hours translate to minutes in reality, the long trips reflect what it's like for real truckers.
Business owner
Once you have enough funds, you can upgrade your garage for more truck slots or buy new garages in other US cities. You're also able to purchase new trucks from different manufacturers and hire drivers. The new crew members perform their tasks automatically, while you choose which skills they need to improve.
Solo and multiplayer
American Truck Simulator consists of solo and multiplayer modes. In your solo career, you'll travel the roads listening to real online radio stations. You'll have no contact with other players. Alternatively, World of Trucks allows you to compete online with seasonal missions.
Base game and DLCs
The base game consists of three American states, namely California, Nevada, and Arizona. While there is a free demo available, you need to purchase the simulator game to enjoy the full experience. Additionally, you can buy extra DLCs that extend the journey into other USA regions.
Trucking around the States
SCS Software loves delivering truck simulator games, as is evident in their other products Euro Truck Simulator 2 and 18 Wheels of Steel. Since your game saves to the cloud, you can switch between your desktop and laptop without losing progression. As such, ATS provides a realistic trucking experience that you can take with you anywhere.
