Razer Cortex is a free app that has a number of useful tools; it lets gamers launch games whilst boosting computer performance, back up save games, record in-game footage and find bargain deals on games. The main function of the app is to let gears find the best deals they can get their hands on. It provides a price comparison engine that helps gamers keep up-to-date with price drops across stores such as Amazon.com, GameStop, GOG, Green Man Gaming, Steam, and Origin. The usual wish lists and game notifications apply, however, a useful feature of Razer Cortex is that it will suggest games users might enjoy based on their previous gaming activity. Razer Cortex also has some great tools including a screen capture gallery and a save file backup function. There’s is also a ‘game booster’ that claims to improve a PC’s performance during and after in game alterations. The social side of Razer Cortex is well supported with good functionality that allows gamers to share in-game moments on Facebook and YouTube. Overall, a handy little app that is best suited to gamers who are looking to locate the best deals on new and wanted titles and who want to make a few tweaks here and there.

ReNamer
ReNamer is a lightweight and flexible batch file renaming tool that offers standard users the usual renaming features, including prefixes, suffixes, replacements, and case changes, as well as the ability to remove contents of brackets, add number sequences, and change file extensions. Key features include: Standard interface. Powerful batch conversion functions. Programmable renaming rule support. Preview feature. Useful getting started guide. For power users, there is also a PascalScript rule, which allows users to program their own renaming rules. With ReNamer you can combine multiple renaming actions as a rule set, applying each action in a logical sequence, which can then be saved, loaded, and managed within the application. Additionally, it has the ability to rename folders, process regular expressions, and it supports a variety of meta tags, such as: ID3v1, ID3v2, EXIF, OLE, AVI, MD5, CRC32, and SHA1. If you have lots of files to rename, then ReName is a really good application that is fairly lightweight, but packs a mean punch in the batch processing dept.
