Maxis Soft A/V is an online application for Microsoft Windows, using the Tile Redirect Virus to redirect your Internet browser to Sim City 2021. This virus basically allows anyone with the software to view a specific city through your ISP. The problem is that by using this antivirus you are risking the security of your computer by allowing strangers on the Internet to view your personal data. If you choose to download one of these sims games, remember that you do so at your own risk. I have tested this virus on a windows vista system and has caused severe problems, which includes the use of my system for a month without any reliable way to recover it.
There are many ways around this issue and one of which is to install images of Sim City 2021 onto your hard drive. These images can easily be downloaded form the internet and placed in the folder which normally lies alongside your windows 3.x operating system. By installing one of these images you will be able to play the game while on the Internet. The downside to using one of these images is that it will only work if you have an up to date version of windows. If you have an older version you will see no difference as the virus will just change the graphics. Although installing these images might be a solution to your problem.
The other way, which allows you to play on the Internet is to actually use a program called "Maxis Skim" which is a clone of Microsoft windows Live Workspace. This program uses the same tiles as the original, but also adds support for the Cityscape add-on which you can download from the Maxis website. To use skim effectively, you first need to download it and then install it onto your computer, once you've done this press start and then click on add new pools. Follow the simple instructions and then load up the game and you will now be able to play Sim City 2021 on the Internet!
