Red Nose App Review
Red Nose is a free utility and tools app designed by Desjardins in collaboration with Manitoba Public Insurance, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, SGI in Saskatchewan, and ICBC in British Columbia. The app aims to assist users in getting home safely, particularly during the holiday season. It features a location tracking functionality to help users find the nearest operation center with their operating hours or alternative safe return options. Moreover, the app includes an alarm reminder feature prompting users to contact a friend, call a taxi, or reach out to Operation Red Nose during large gatherings.
The app also offers estimated wait times for the busiest locations in Quebec, with plans to expand to more regions soon. Notably, users can now conveniently submit their printed and signed volunteer registration form directly from the Volunteers section of the app. While certain tabs like Call and Wait time are seasonal, the app remains functional throughout the year, catering to safety needs beyond holidays.
