Asphalt 5 was a highly anticipated release, following up on the well-received Asphalt Bike Games. The game took many things into consideration, including the new touch screen controls and the switch from flash to Java based technology. It is an extremely well designed game with excellent graphics. It looks great on the iPhone and Android and offers a fast playing pace that won't lose you in boredom. I enjoyed playing the game quite a bit, although I think that it could have had a better interface, it's not very different from Asphalt Bike Games, but it does feel quite a bit more polished and you will definitely appreciate the attention to detail paid to the games visual appearance.
In Asphalt 5, you take on the roll of an asphalt driving champion, and do your best to complete the various courses and challenges within the time allowed. This arcade racer gives the player much more than just racing tips and provides an overall experience that is both challenging, and fun. The controls in the game are very smooth and responsive, and the controls for the different sections are easy to learn and understand. Although, the majority of the game is played on the track, there are a few different areas that are also available, namely the lanes of change, tunnel area and the office area.
The game is quite challenging, even though the difficulty level varies between levels, nevertheless, it's enjoyable overall. If you like driving games that allow you to drive and turn at the same time, then you'll love playing Asphalt 5, the controls are tight and responsive, while it offers a great deal of different driving environments to race in. If you're an avid user of the iPhone and Android phones, you really should check out Asphalt 5. Developed by the folks at Motopia Media Limited, the game is free and has all the classic features of any other racing games available.
