Tribal Trouble is an online strategy game for the PC by a small independent studio called Oddlabs. The game has received praise from the gaming press and has sold several copies. The game is best recommended for ages 12 and up, by the Oddie Record studios. This version of Tribal Trouble is not the same as the traditional version, it has extra elements that are new to the game.
Unlike the traditional version of Tribal Trouble that you have to build an island, make a tribe, and fight other tribes to protect them from the evil pirates, in the version you will be using your strategy to fight for your island and protect your tribe from the enemy. It has been suggested that this version has better game play, it has more interesting stories, it uses native islander's knowledge to give the player more skills and weapons to use. Oddly enough, Oddlabs made this game as a cross breed with Vivakel, one of the most famous puzzle games. Oddlabs was owned by Hasbro at one point and worked with them on several products including the Furby and Pals.
Oddlabs has kept the basic concept of the game the same, which is to fill your island with weird, wild animals, then send them out to fight other strange creatures. Each animal has its own special move and you will need to train your peons (firemen) to fight the battles. You will also be required to build five of every building available on your island. The unique thing about this version of Tribal Trouble is that the emphasis is on story and adventure. Oddlabs has added in several native islander items to the mix, which will make your island even more interesting. The overall score when playing on the online platform for this game is a solid seventy-two.
