The Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos is a total conversion mod for Gothic II: Gold Edition. It offers a new open world, improved skills systems, gameplay mechanics, and a complex story. The game takes place in the Kingdom of Myrtana, a country that is in turmoil due to war and unrest. The mod features a new island called Archolos, east of the Myrtana mainland, with never-seen-before regions filled with vineyards, farms, and villages mentioned in the first Gothic game. Players take on the role of Marvin, a young man who fled his home due to the impending war. Marvin arrives in Archolos, where he encounters rich merchants, servants of King Rhobar II, and desperate refugees. Survival in this land of treachery, opportunism, and opposing interests is up to the player's choices.
