Rune is a full version action game developed by Human Head Studios for Windows. The game is set in the world of Midgard where the Norse apocalypse has taken place, and the gods have inexplicably withheld their protection. The world is ravaged by giants, beasts, and the undead, and the only hope of saving it lies in the hands of the Viking warriors. As a Viking warrior, players must align with their chosen god, complete quests, and receive blessings of strength and magic. The ultimate goal is to destroy the Trickster god, Loki, who is responsible for the apocalypse, and save Midgard from eternal destruction.
In Rune, players can explore vast and dangerous lands, pillage villages for powerful weapons and armor, and team up with fellow warriors to face giants and enormous monsters. Choosing a Norse god to align with grants unique abilities and skills to aid in quests. Completing quests and harnessing the power of mystical runes improves combat abilities. The game also offers brutal PvP battles to determine the most feared Viking in Midgard. The fate of Midgard rests on the shoulders of the Viking warriors. Will you rise above the fray and save the world from eternal destruction?
