iM Guide: Enhancing Museum Visits with Multimedia Experience
iM Guide is a museum mobile multimedia guide platform designed by Leisure Cultural Services Department HKSARG. It provides a rich, immersive experience for museum visitors through text, audio, video, and multimedia content that deepens their understanding of exhibits. The platform includes indoor navigation and outdoor GPS features, aiding users in locating exhibits and essential facilities like restrooms and baby care rooms.
iM Guide is currently operational at prominent museums such as the Hong Kong Science Museum, the Hong Kong Space Museum, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence, the Hong Kong Railway Museum, and along the Dr Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail. Future plans involve expanding services to encompass various museums under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, promising an enriched cultural exploration experience for visitors.
