Dorforantik is a unique puzzle game that I have been having a lot of fun with. It is very different from the average flash puzzle game, as it plays out in three dimensional space, which makes it quite interesting to play. The game is set in a large house that is also home to a dragon and five maidens, who are your main playable characters. Throughout the house, there are many different colored eggs that can be used to do different things, such as making the female maids help clean the house by moving furniture, or use the eggs to go on an adventure to find the lost prince.

What I really like about the game is how it is played. When you start out playing you simply start by placing one of the five maidens in the bedroom to sleep on the bed. You then have to go through the house, finding all the rooms that have a red egg in them, as well as the tile that the egg is on. Then, you have to place the colored eggs on the floor in the room where the red egg is located, so that the colored dots will become the location where the required character needs to go on their adventure. For example, if the female maid needs to go on a treasure quest, then she must place the blue egg on a treasure map that has a treasure chest in its hold, which will then transport her to the location of the treasure.

Unlike other similar games, where you need to piece together several different pieces of pre-made puzzles to solve puzzles, in Dorforantik you are not limited by that style of gameplay. You have the option of just simply placing tiles onto a flat surface and letting nature do the rest of the work for you. As you find yourself getting frustrated with a particularly difficult area of the house, you can choose to use the built-in building strategy guide that comes with the game, which will show you which exact tiles are needed for each room to complete your puzzle. This Dorforantik strategy guide really came in handy when I was trying to get past one of the biggest challenges of the game.
