Functional flashlight app for Android
Brightest Flashlight Free is a free Android flashlight app. Although your Android phone already comes with a flashlight feature, you might be looking for something a little more powerful. Brightest Flashlight Free attempts to maximize the light available in dark situations by using absolutely all the sources in your phone - the camera flash, screen illumination, key backlights, and notification LED. Even at maximum, however, some of these lights aren't very powerful, so if you're expecting miracles, you might be disappointed.
Other than its use of all available lights, Brightest Flashlight Free is a very simple app. Under the on-screen settings button (which you must press twice to activate), you'll find an option to turn sound on or off, activate an auto turn off timer, and choose to use the camera LED, screen lights, or both. Brightest Flashlight Free doesn't, however, have any handy widgets, and you won't be able to save it to the SD card.
Brightest Flashlight Free lacks features, but if you need extra light, it does the job.
