The only downside we can see, is that it has no compression or encryption options.
Transmit
Transmit FTP is a modern FTP application that supports a range of transfer types and services. Not only does it support FTP and SFTP, but it also allows you to transfer files to and from services like Amazon S3, or set up your own WebDAV storage. Transmit gives Mac OS X users highly usable file transfer that looks right at home in OS X. Its interface has echoes of regular FTP software, yet it has been updated to make it look just like the OS X Finder. Users browse their local files on the left and remote files on the right, and there are attractive icons to make each service stand out in the list. Panic, the develops of Transmit, claim that its code has been tweaked to make it faster. This speed boost applies to the application and to its file transfers. Other benefits include: Mount remote storage as though it is a local disk. Click the Sync button to create an exact copy of a local folder on a remote server. Dual pane or single pane view, with the option of viewing two local browsers side by side. File upload progress and overall progress shown in one compact progress bar. TouchCopy For Mac
TouchCopy for Mac is a useful application that provides you with a safe and easy way to backup and transfer all your content from your iPod, iPhone or iPad. With TouchCopy for Mac you can save your music, playlists, podcasts, applications, videos, and message data from your iPod, iPhone or iPad to your hard drive directly or back it up to iTunes, simply and easily. Overall, TouchCopy for Mac has a slightly clunky interface and a slow to reasonable transfer speed (depending upon your Mac). On the plus side, it provides you with a clear report of what data has been copied and what hasn’t. The range of data that can be transferred is fairly extensive, considering the amount of different types of data that can be stored on an iOS device. Not only can you transfer image, music and application data, TouchCopy gathers the data from album art, ratings, play counts and other song information also.
