Free action-adventure game
GTA 4 Mobile Edition #1 is a free action-adventure game that’s an unofficial mobile port of the original that Rockstar Games created. You play Niko Bellic, a war veteran finding himself in America to escape his past. If you like these types of crime action games, you can also try Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, GTA V or GTA Vice City.
Most of the components are the same as the original game but adapted so that you can move and shoot using touchscreen controls. There are some issues with the audio cutting out during cutscenes, and the details are a bit small, depending on your screen size. Still, you’ll be able to enjoy the criminal mayhem that the story presents.
Main and side missions
One of the best parts of any Grand Theft Auto game is that you get to complete missions and side quests. The port of GTA 4 Mobile Edition #1 resembles the same quests from the original game. As Niko, you’ll fight crime bosses and corporate leaders to keep your past behind you. However, no one is going to make it easy for you.
Exploring the locations
There are three main locations to explore. Along the way, the police will chase you if you perform any criminal activities in the open. Based on your wanted level, you’ll need to find a way to escape them. At least there are some fast vehicles you can steal and spray to make the task easier.
Issues with sound and quality
Sound is the one significant issue with GTA 4 Mobile Edition #1. When it comes to the movie cutscenes, the audio might cut out, and you’ll have no idea what anyone is saying. Also, due to the nature of smaller screens, you might be unable to aim or see who you’re fighting in intense situations.
Unofficial GTA port to mobile
GTA 4 Mobile Edition #1 might not be perfect, but you’ll still be able to enjoy the game on your phone. There are so many missions to complete; you’ll easily spend a few days on it.
The action will be smaller on your phone, which means you’ll need to focus more when it comes to shooting or escaping the police. That doesn’t mean you won’t have fun doing it.
