Toy Blast is an exciting side-scrolling physics-based puzzle game in which you blast your way across hundreds of lovingly designed puzzles on your way to win the game. The way to play is simple: pick three or more randomly chosen cubes, then use boosts to remove the opponents' cubes from the screen. To make your life harder, you will also find obstacles that block your path and even other players in the game. To finish a level, you must find all the hidden cubes, so use the search option to help you find them. The game is great fun for all ages, and it's available from a number of download sources, including Google Play, Amazon Android, iTunes, and Game center.
The main weakness of toy blast is its simplistic design. Although the graphics are nice, it can be easy to lose track of where a cube is, and players can spend considerable amounts of time searching for one particular cube when they could just be looking for that one special shot they won't miss! Fortunately, there are a number of clever modifications you can apply to the game, and I especially liked the ones that allowed me to change the difficulty level. It means that kids who find it easy can stay focused on winning, while more advanced players can increase the challenge with harder levels. Also, to make playing the game even more challenging, I disabled the game when my son was sleeping, and he seemed to enjoy it more when he wasn't snoring!
Overall, this is a very nice game, and although it doesn't have as many features as its competitors, it's still a well-made, charming puzzle game that are worth the price. Kids will love the cute, cartoon-style graphics, and they'll have loads of fun trying to perform the different moves. They will also enjoy the fast pace and the nice physics system that help to make their movements realistic. In my opinion, it should help raise the bar for other toy blast games!
