MOH Uganda Capacity Building App is an Android-based learning/training platform for health workers, designed to support the Community Health Academy- Last Mile Health in collaboration with Makerere University College of Health Sciences and the Ministry of Health using the OppiaMobile app technology. This app addresses the need for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has limited traditional capacity building efforts. The app provides users with access to learning activities, videos, and quizzes offline on their Android smartphones. The app also allows users to earn points and badges for completing activities and courses, receive automatic notifications when course updates are available, and use the text-to-speech function to read out loud activities. Additionally, users can search course and activity content and share courses through Bluetooth. This app connects to a backend to track user activity and progress, including completed activities, quiz scores, and videos watched, and to download courses.
