CivCity: Rome is a city builder game for Windows, developed by Firaxis Games and FireFly Studios and inspired by the world of Sid Meiers Civilization. The game offers an innovative approach to the genre by allowing players to focus on the great cities of the Roman Empire, culminating in Rome itself. With dozens of missions and a wide array of interesting decisions, players are tasked with building, nurturing, and managing one of these great cities as they lead the Roman Empire from its humble beginnings to its mighty apogee.
One of the unique features of CivCity: Rome is the ability to look inside the buildings, including the villas, forums, and even the Roman baths, for the first time in a city builder game. This provides a much greater level of detail, allowing players to discover how Romans went about their daily lives. With more than 70 technologies that can be developed over time, players can improve many aspects of their city and its relation to the wider empire. The game also allows players to follow the life of a Roman family and make decisions that affect their success or failure. CivCity: Rome is an easy-to-play game that lets you create your own living community by choosing and placing the wide variety of buildings, with strong visual feedback.
