Complete collection of English vocabulary

Oxford Dictionary of English is a continually expanding dictionary supported by prestigious experts. While it is not free, it has the most comprehensive compilation of English words and will help any writer who needs to find specific terms or anyone who wishes to learn vocabulary.
Features
The book contains over 350,000 words, which all have phrases and meanings attached to them. The research staff is continuously looking for new words and slang to add to the dictionary so that you can locate precisely what you want.
Oxford has added a 'fuzzy word' search function. This feature allows you to type in a word you may not know how to spell, and the software finds it for you. Also, it can replace certain letters to find the right word when the user struggles to find the right one.
It includes keyword searches to determine if what the person is searching for is part of another word. It does have a few things like sentence examples and audio pronunciations to help the user learn English, but it falls short of the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary
Presentation
The layout of the Window’s application is clear, with each word being dissected into the smaller parts and different definitions. Everything is laid out in an organized fashion, but it is somewhat overwhelming.
Alternatives
There is a mobile app version of Oxford’s Dictionary with a free and subscription edition, unlike the Windows edition. They contain the same information, but the phone application has ads and does not allow you to download words without paying.
Merriam-Webster, on the other hand, provides fewer words but is free. However, they also give quizzes to help you learn more English. The design of the application is much cleaner than the Oxford program.
Rigorous vocabulary
Overall, the Oxford Dictionary is useful to your library if you need to find words that you have forgotten or must learn. While the presentation is a bit off, it’s good enough to give you what you want. However, if you are learning English, you would want to choose another dictionary.
