FOCA is an useful security testing tool, which lets you find out more about a website by analyzing the metadata in the documents that it makes available. FOCA is very easy to use. All you need to do is create a new document pointing FOCA Free at your website. Click the Search All button, and the app will display all of the Microsoft Office and Open Office documents, including PDFs and other documents on the site, which have been indexed by Google, Bing and Exalead. This is useful for numerous reasons, not to mention exposing any documents that were never intended for public viewing. Supported formats include: .DOC .DOCX .PDF .PPT .PPS .XLS .XLSX .ODT .ODS .ODS .SVG FOCA can download the documents, extract their metadata, and then summarise the results in a simple report that is easy to understand. The outcome depends upon numerous factors, including what app was used in their creation etc. But more often than not you confined info about user names, network folders, printer names, and email addresses. All of which can be maliciously used by hackers.
MP3Gain
MP3Gain is a really helpful ‘tiny tool’ that is able to analyze and adjust MP3 files, so that they have the same volume. The app does not just undertake a peak normalization exercise, as many normalizers do. Instead, it performes a statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear. The changes MP3Gain makes are completely lossless. There is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the mp3 file directly, without decoding and re-encoding the file. By modifying the appropriate metadata of each file, music software and portable players can determine what the volume should be. Overall, MP3Gain is not a bad utility for freeware, and it does what is says on the tin, namely equalizes MP3 volume levels. The interface is very simple though, and power users may be put off by this. Support languages include: Arabic, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Indonesian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, and Ukrainian.
Nero Standard 2019
Nero Standard 2019 is the slimmed down version of Nero Platinum 2019. It comes packed with many of the best features of the comprehensive Platinum edition, including all of the same mobile apps. It provides you with the ability to stream straight to Android and iOS smartphones. You can also do the reverse; send video from an Android and iOS mobile device and burn it immediately, thanks to the updated "AirBurn" feature. Like many other products in the Nero range, Nero Standard 2019 has support for geotagging, called "Places". That means media filmed on a smartphone, tablet or other compatible device can be organised by its location metadata. The software has also been updated with a new look and feel. The brand new launcher is now organized into five sections: "Manage & Play", "Edit & Convert", "Rip & Burn", "Backup & Rescue", and "Extras". The help section has also been improved in this version, with comprehensive guides to walk you through the process of managing content and completing projects. While Nero Standard 2019 is a slimmed down version of its big brother, it still has support for cloud storage in various ways. Nero BackItUp is essentially a storage service that lets you access and play back content from anywhere. Media is organised by date in MediaHome, Nero's content manager, and segmented according to media type as well. Nero Standard 2019, also houses some really cool modules. Nero Recode, for example, rips disc contents or regular audio and video files, and converts them to a particular format, to play on a certain device, or burn them to disc. Nero Burning ROM is again at the the core of the package; burning CDs, DVDs or Blu-rays. With it, you can optionally encrypt your content or split it across multiple discs. If you run the suite on a dual monitor system, then you'll be able to preview your content full-screen on the second display as well. The downside of Nero Standard 2019, is you lose the ability to play back Ultra HD (4K). Otherwise, apart from extra content and video effects and the "stashimi" recorder, the main difference between this and the Platinum suite is the price tag.

Freac
If you are in the market for a free, Open Source audio conversion app, and you don’t mind a working with a simple interface, then you can’t go far wrong with Freac. Beneath the standard, bare bones window lies powerful open source conversion encoders that are able to rapidly convert your audio files to a good selection of formats. Not only can Freac convert an array of audio files, but it can also rip audio CDs as well. The app can access the online CDDB database to automatically populate the metadata attached to your media files, so they can be organized correctly in your media library. This is really useful as it saves a stack of time in manually adding the data yourself. Freac also comes with a couple of neat tools and configurable features, such as a built-in media player, with standard functionality; play, pause, stop, and skip next or skip previous. When saving content, you can choose a default saving directory, select the encoder you need, apply some audio filters, such as High-pass or Low-pass, create various playlists and cue sheets, install plugins, and you can edit ID3 tags as well. You can even batch process files, if you need to. Overall, Freac supports a wide array of formats, including .MP3, .Bonk, .WMA, .MP4/M4A, .AAC, .Ogg .Vorbis, .FLAC, and .WAV. It has a good selection of configurable options, and it is available in over 36 languages.

Obfuscar is an obfuscation tool for .NET assemblies that has been released under MIT license. This solid tool provides basic obfuscation features that help secure secrets in a .NET assembly. In order to rename metadata in .NET assemblies Obfuscar uses massive overloading to a minimal set, and this is distinguishable in the majority of cases only by signature. It includes the names of methods, properties, events, fields, types and namespaces. For instance, if a class contains only methods, which accept different parameters then they can all be renamed 'A'. If another method is added to the class that accepts the same parameters as an existing method, it could be named 'a'. Overall, Obfuscar is a great tool that makes decompiled code very laborious to follow.
