HP SimplePass is a useful security tool, which allows you to access websites and enter passwords by the use of a biometric device on your computer.* With the onset of more malware and fraudulent websites popping up all over the Internet, the integration of fingerprint readers in mobile devices such as tablets, laptops and smart phones, is a good step in the right direction for the security conscious. With HP SimplePass, fingerprint recognition can be used to securely store passwords and utilize them to login to various websites; all you need to do is store the username and the password in the app in order to use the fingerprint authentication. Upon installing the app you can also add a browser plug-in for popular Internet browsers such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. A really great feature of HP SimplePass is the ability to transfer the security data if you choose to change your device. The Export Identity feature lets you create a file, which includes the entire configuration (The file is protected by an additional password). Overall, HP SimplePass lets you use biometrics to safely and quickly log in to any website which requires authentication. It saves time and foregoes the need for password managers etc. With HP SimplePass your accessibility is enhanced along with keeping your credentials safe. *HP SimplePass is specifically designed for the Hewlett-Packard laptops which include a fingerprint recognition device.
