Overall, Encrypt Care is a good, all round encryption solution. It is an easy to use, yet powerful app that will protect the contents of your files and encrypt your text messages. The only downside we could find is that you are not able to set a master password that can be used for all encryptions. However, with some useful tools such as batch mode and checksum verification, Encrypt Care is a handy utility to own.

Overall, Cryptainer LE is a comprehensive security solution that encrypts any data, any disk, drive, file, folder on any Windows based PC. It has a simple interface and is able to decrypt files on the fly. The only downside we can see, is the slightly dated interface. It's fully functional, however lacks some of the modern feel that other encryption tools have.

VeraCrypt
VeraCrypt is a great application to establish and maintain an on-the-fly-encrypted volume. On-the-fly encryption means that data is automatically encrypted right before it is saved and decrypted right after it is loaded, without any user intervention. This is a very secure method of data encryption as any data that is stored on an encrypted volume cannot be read (decrypted) without using the correct password/keyfile(s) or correct encryption keys. The entire file system is encrypted (e.g. file names, folder names, contents of every file, free space, meta data, etc) to give you as much security as possible.
