BitComet

BitComet is a p2p file-sharing freeware fully compatible with BitTorrent/HTTP/FTP downloads. BitComet is a powerful, clean, fast, and easy-to-use BitTorrent client. It supports simultaneous downloads, download queue, selected downloads in torrent package, fast-resume, disk cache, speed limits, port mapping, proxy, ip-filter, etc. Key features: Preview files. Intelligent disk cache. Uses new non BitTorrent source technology. First P2P client to offer stable 64Bit version. The downside to BitComet is that it could be complicated for beginners and the user interface is dated. Also, the client doesn't provide a chat feature and the ads can be intrusive. This coupled with a decline in user base means that other, more robust clients could be preferred.

Dev-C++ is a feature rich IDE, which comes complete with compiler for creating software in C++. It is a fork of the original Bloodshed Dev-C++ environment. External tools. Included in the Dev-C++ environment are all of the standard features that are necessary for writing, compiling, debugging, and executing programs written in C. Dev-C++ has been designed for the hard-core C++ programmer as it allows you to compose all of your source code without the simple features, which are common with most programming environments for beginners. Dev-C++ supports the following languages: Croatian, Romanian, Korean, French, Ukrainian, Dutch, Polish, Slovene, Latvian, Czech, Italian, Catalan, Greek, English, Portuguese, Slovak, Chinese (Traditional), Estonian, Galician, Bulgarian, Swedish, Turkish, Norwegian, Chinese (Simplified), Danish, German, Spanish, Russian, and Hungarian. Overall, Dev-C++ is great IDE to work with, if you don't need any advanced tools. It has all the basic things that you need. However, although it is an updated take on an older IDE, it still looks slightly dated.

CrystalDiskInfo

CrystalDiskInfo is a utility tool that can tell you about the hardware performance of your hard disk, including how likely it is to stop operating in the near future. The app gives you a complete readout of all your computer's SMART information, as well as a current temperature and health status. The interface can be easily navigated by anyone with an OK understanding of hard drives and the Windows OS. From the dashboard you can quickly see a long list of up-to-date system data. CrystalDiskInfo doesn’t have a lot of options here, or settings or deep drill down menus for that matter. It does, however, give you a clear and straightforward interface that shows all of the data it can retrieve* from each drive on your system. CrystalDiskInfo can be configured to send you Alerts in the event that there is an issue with one of the drives being monitored. These alerts can be audible or via email, and you can also configure the frequency of application refresh data. Overall, CrystalDiskInfo is a good, free tool if you have a reasonable level of computer knowledge and want to be kept informed about your system. It is lightweight, and uses hardly any system resources at all. The interface is crisp and clutter free, but the downside is, there is no Help feature with the app, and it does’t provide an explanation for any of the data that is displayed. If you are a novice user, it may be a good idea to try another app. *Various drives implement S.M.A.R.T. in different ways and not every drive tracks or reports every possible value.

Simply enter your chosen password, select your destination folder and begin the encryption process. With Encrypt Care you can perform multiple tasks with checksums, including generating a checksum of any text or file, export checksums to .TXT file or copy to clipboard. You can also generate hash for multiple files, and verify checksums as well. Key Features include: Encrypt and decrypt text and messages. Encrypt and decrypt files photos, documents, and apps. Generate and verify checksum of text and file. Generate and export checksums for multiple files. Supports various algorithms such as AES, Blowfish, CAST, DES, IDEA, RC2, RC4, TEA. Supports various hashes including MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512. Small footprint. Supports Unicode characters. Supports batch processing. Overall, Encrypt Care is a good, all round encryption solution. It is an easy to use, yet powerful app that will protect the contents of your files and encrypt your text messages. The only downside we could find is that you are not able to set a master password that can be used for all encryptions. However, with some useful tools such as batch mode and checksum verification, Encrypt Care is a handy utility to own.
