Webmin
Webmin is a web-based interface for system administration for Unix. Using any modern web browser, you can
setup user accounts, Apache, DNS, file sharing and much more. Webmin removes the need to manually edit Unix
configuration files like /etc/passwd, and lets you manage a system from the console or remotely.
Webmin has numerous modules that allow you to configure server services. For instance, the Cloudmin tool
is a Webmin-based interface for managing virtual systems, including Xen, KVM and OpenVZ.
Key control panel features include:
DNS support.
Email support.
FTP support.
Database support.
IPV6 support.
Multi server support.
Overall, Webmin is a very comprehensive application. There are modules for most typical administration
tasks, including core system areas such as user management etc. There are also package specific tasks such as
configuration of Apache and Squid. Additionally, it includes some handy tools, such as basic file backup/transfer, and system resource monitoring.
