BulletsPassView is a new take on the old style ‘Asterisk Logger’ utility; a password recovery tool, which reveals* the passwords stored behind bullet points in a password text box of Windows OS and IE browsers.
Key Features include:
- Command line support.
- Unicode support.
- No installation required (just run BulletsPassView.exe).
BulletsPassView has a standard user interface, and really is a simple tool that users of all levels of expertise can operate. To start, run the BulletsPassView.exe. The app makes a scan to locate passwords text-boxes that are currently on your screen. If it locates any password, it'll be displayed in the app’s main window. After revealing the passwords, you can copy it to clipboard or save it to a text/html/csv/xml file.
If you want to undertake another scan, simply choose the ‘Refresh’ option, found in the view menu or press F5. Once enabled, BulletsPassView will automatically scan for new password text-boxes.
*The app does not reveal the password inside the password text-box itself. It is only displayed in the main window of the BulletsPassView app.
Added 'Run As Administrator' option (Ctrl+F11), which allows you to easily run BulletsPassView as administrator on Windows Vista/7/8/2008. You should use this option is the software that has a password text-box is executed as administrator.
Fixed bug: BulletsPassView failed to remember the last size/position of the main window if it was not located in the primary monitor.
