Print directly from your Android phone
The HP Smart app lets you use your HP printer from anywhere. With its simple setup, you can print, scan, copy or share files from your mobile with friends, colleagues or cloud account. You can also order supplies, request support and manage your HP account.
HP Smart installation and setup
To begin, you should scan the QR code on the Get Started card or download the app from 123.hp.com. You should ensure that your Android phone is connected to a network and has Bluetooth enabled. Then, you can turn your HP printer on, meanwhile checking that you have an active connection and your wireless password or key at hand.
Next, you should open the app and accept the Terms and Conditions. You’ll want to tap the plus sign and choose to set up a new printer. The app will search for the printer and request your permission to allow access. In the results, select your printer, enter your Wi-Fi password, and then continue. HP Smart finds and prepares the printer, obtains the IP address and finishes the connection process.
You can now follow the prompts for the installation of available software like the HP print service plugin. Once completed, access the main menu with all the available functions.
