Chargify is a subscription based invoicing platform for SMBs. With it you can automatically send invoices individually or on recurring basis. It comes with some handy tools and features, such as letting you create an order page for customers to sign up for your product or service, and then manage their own subscription.
Chargify has lots of standard reports to choose from. The reporting feature is accessed from your dashboard. From here, you can see an overview of subscribers added/lost and the monthly revenue. From the ‘Analytics page, you can locate over 20 reports on various data points, including website activity, signup success/failure, upgrades and downgrades, expiring credit cards, and metered usage etc. It is worth noting that Chargify doesn’t allow you to build build custom reports from the ground up.
Chargify integrates with over 300 apps via a 3rd party integration service called Zapier. The service lets you automatically synchronize your customers and transactions with services from Mailchimp, Quickbooks, Freshbooks, Nimble, Base CRM, Zoho CRM, SugarCRM, Evernote, Basecamp, Trello, and BigCommerce.
Chargify uses a subscription based pricing model and plans start from $65.00 per month, with a free trial available (No Credit Card required). The company charges no setup fees, no transaction fees, and there is no contract.
Chargify has 4 plans to choose from, which are based on how many customers you manage and features you receive. The New Idea plan is priced at $65 per month. This allows you to manage up to 20 customers (+$2 per month for any customers over 20). For this, you get all the basic billing features plus API Access and the ability to create a customer self-service portal. Also included is phone support, but this is not for advanced tech support questions. Next up is the Small Business plan, priced at $129 per month. This allows you to manage up to 500 customers (+$1 per month for any customers over 500). You also get access to tech support. The Small Business Plus plan is priced at $169 per month. This plan adds integrations with Salesforce, Xero and Mailchimp. You also receive some advanced analytics as well. Finally, there is the Growing Business plan, priced at $459 per month. This plan supports up to 2,000 customers (+$0.69 for any customers over 2,000). The Growing Business plan also provides you with access to priority customer support.
Chargify is a good platform for businesses that sell subscriptions. There service is designed to let customers manage payments themselves, whether that’s by customizing their own order on your payment page, or if its by logging into the self-service portal in order to add or remove services, or change payment information, for instance. Although Chargify is suited to most SMBs, it probably isn;t that great for project-based businesses, such as web designers, as it doesn’t provide time tracking or estimate tools.
