Google Books Downloader Lite is an open-source, lightweight utility that lets you download any book which is available in ‘full view’ from Google Books.

The advantage of using Google Books Downloader Lite over viewing and downloading books directly from the Google Books web page, is that with this app you can queue up multiple jobs.

Google Books Downloader Lite has a clean and simplistic layout, which can be used by all users with minimum effort. All you need to do is specify the URL in the main pane and chose the directory which you want the files to be saved. Next click the ‘Download’ button and the app will grab the desired data. Whilst the data is being downloaded you are presented with the estimated time for completion.

It is worth noting that every page from the downloaded content is saved to .PNG file format. If you need to merge the images or convert them to a different format, then you will have to use a dedicated tool.

If you are looking for an extensive set of tools to accomplish various editing techniques etc, then this app is not for you. If you need to just queue up a few books to download, then Google Books Downloader Lite maybe just what you need.

Google Books Downloader Lite requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.
