This alarm utility is very simple to use. You simply need to choose the time when you want to be reminded, enter a reminder text and choose the alarm sound. AbAlarm also comes with a built-in Scheduler that allows you to create reminders, which repeat themselves after regular time intervals. The Scheduler can be configured to remind you, even if it is not running. The app uses Windows Task Manager to start itself and notify you.
A great feature of AbAlarm is the ability to add actions to your alarms. Under the ‘Actions’ section, you can choose what action to undertake after an interval of time. AbAlarm can open a file, or a web page, or even shut down the computer, at a preprogrammed time.
Overall, AbAlarm is a small app that consumes hardly any resources. It is fairly functional and can be used in a variety of situations. The interface is easy to use and can be navigated by everyone. As far as free clock tools go, this is not a bad one.
